Over the years we have had the privilege of owning some wonderful dogs,
each special in their own way.
They were more then top show dogs, more then great stud dogs, they were part of our family...
and anyone that had the pleasure of seeing them at home, knows how much they ment to us.

We can never repay them for the joy they have brought us, and the service they have done to
the border collie breed in Australia...

These dogs are greatly missed.

Aust/NZ Ch Clan Abby Phantom of Love x Aust Ch Loadstar Uppity Miss

"Kuta" was a beautiful dog and although he was rarely shown, he did perform incredibly well as a Fly Ball dog taking home many State and Royal titles.
Kuta sired his last litter of pups as a 15 year old and sadly we lost him at 17 years of age.

April 2006

Sadly at 13 years of age, Elizabeth has passed away.

She enjoyed her rein as queen of the backyard and it will be strange to go out the backyard and not be offered a paw in exchange for a pat.

Elizabeth was a lovely girl who will be missed, especially by her daughter Missy who was very close to her.

1999 - 2006

Keg left us just before his 7th birthday when we discovered he had very bad cancer throughout his body...

This dog was very special, he was a real softy who loved every body and although his large height was very intimidating to some, others knew he was nothing but a teddy bear.

It was heartbreaking to lose a dog who I consider still young, and we will miss him always.

Keg is missed by everyone, so much so that we have bought a new Akita pup to try and fill the whole he left... Our new boy will never replace Keg, but he may return a little of the goofiness that has been missing in the backyard since we lost Keg.

Aust Ch Pawtails Comet Crusader x Aust Ch Loadstar Vamp

"Trick" was a lovely bitch, she is a 3rd generation Loadstar and did us very proud in the ring.
she enjoyed many years of retirement before leaving us.

Sadly trick passed on in December 05, a very old girl, she will be missed.

We sadly announce the passing of one of our dear old boys...

"Mac" was a very successful show ring competitor for us, earning over 1000 challenge points and being a multi BIS award winner, he sadly passed away in March 2004 after enjoying many years of retirement and stud duties.

1985 - 1998
Aust Ch Rullion Gambit x  Aust Ch Crestvale Show Magic

"Pepper" was our foundation bitch and although she preferred to turn her back on judges, she produced some stunning pups.  When she wasn't keeping the horses under control, her favourite place was in a whelping box in the house.

1986 - 1999
Wallenbeen Truman x Aust Ch Rullion Nova CDX

"Skip" needs no introduction in the Border Collie world, becoming an Australian champion at 12 months of age and earning over 2000 challenge points as well as multi BIS awards. Skip also sired some excellent pups, and was most importantly, a best mate.

Skip is the sire of Aust Ch Pawtails Comet Crusader and Aust Ch Loadstar Uppity Miss...

Skip and his daughter Sham.

1987  - 2000
Aust Ch Crystalledge Star Trek x Crystalledge Cascade

"Sham" was our ideal bitch and she made it very hard on future bitches trying to follow in her footsteps... Sham even put her dad to shame on many occasions and there are few bitches who could match up to this girl.
Sham was an Australian Champion by 11 months of age, with in excess of 2000 challenge points and 11 Royal challenges to her credit.  Sham is the dam of Loadstar Pretender and Aust Ch Loadstar Vamp...

2001
Aust/NZ Ch Maghera Cassanova x Aust Ch Loadstar Uppity Miss

"Vamp" also did very well in the show ring before retiring to produce some lovely pups for us, she was an absolute character.  Vamp is the dam of Aust Ch Loadstar Cheap Trick.

"Clan" was a lovely big boy with a fantastic nature, unfortunately he was unable to be shown.  He was a real friend, who just wanted to be with you all the time.

1985 - 1999
Duncan x Pip
(can't remember their reg. names :)

A registered Miniature Pincher.  I really don't know what to say about muffin (muffet/muppet/muppin... who knows what her actual name was?).  She was over size, over weight, over protective and noisy!
Some people tried for years to befriend her and never succeeded, Min Pin breeders would sniff in disdain whenever we dared to take her along to a show, our vet called her a speed hump...
And yet there was something about her that made people want to be liked by her...  There will never be another like her (which may be a good thing), and she had to be included here as she was as much a part of Loadstar border collies as any of the other dogs.

1985

"Captain" was our first border collie and started us in the mad world of showing and breeding dogs, unfortunately we lost Captain while still a pup.
